「We are local and only stayed as having work done on the house, so have eaten there many times. Pleasantly surprised how nice and well maintained the room was and very clean. Great atmosphere in the bar, and will recommend to our visitors and the staff were really lovely. 」

「Lovely charachter cottage. Beautifully styled. Bit tricky to find/parking away from house. Great for older family but steps not good for young children or disabiilities. Quiet but very convenient to pretty market town.」

「This is a 300 year old property and as such had wonky floors it's in a traditional pub that's owned by a Black Country brewery, Holdens although other beers are stocked. Our room was quirky but clean and comfortable with a well appointed shower room including minimum toiletries. The breakfast is traditional but not extensive but perfectly adequate, there's no other meals available here but the pub is in the centre of this lovely Shropshire town that's full of restaurants to choose from. 「Arrived at thevagreed time to find the doors locked. Tried to ring but nobody picked up. Eventually someone heard me knocking and opened the door. Check in was straightforward after that. Room was small but had all you needed. Wifi was good. Desk space was small but ok. Dinner was good. Had a good nights sleep. Breakfast included and looking at the cooked option it looked very nice. Sadly i just had some cereal and juice (my choice). Paid on check out. Parking was free. Overall nice place...

「Staff were very polite and friendly. Car park was full (had the last place) and the bar was very noisy - a lot of people and it was Friday. The meal was good “pub grub” and the local ale was wonderful - Wye Valley brewery.」

「I don't know what to say other than I have sent my review to YHA with "top marks" for everything. From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. 」
