The check in was great the staff were helpful but they lacked safety measures. First off, I am a single female traveller. A male was right there and she read out my room number out loud rather than just circling it. Although they had my room ready on time for my arrival. Once in, I could already see the room lacked proper cleaning. The kitchen didn't look like it had been wiped down in a while and had dust and grease on the kitchen hob. The bathroom had water marks all around the sink and not wiped. The bathroom drain was black with dirt and grime and even hair shavings. The towel had hair on it and they had forgotten to put towels in the actual bathroom. When I got one from the reception it was very small and as I came back late, someone had put 2 more in my room on my return which was nice but also made me feel unsafe cause someone had gained access to my room while I had been out. Lastly, at exactly 2:40am someone next door could be heard in their room as they gave me a room with a connection door. There is only one door between the room as the light can be seen to shine under it. This is not safe and also causes every sound to be heard. I could hear all kinds of noise, coughing and banging about. Then they left at 3:05am after hearing I moved my bag rail up against the connection door. They were heard to then leave the room and press the elevator. The hotels security its self is very poor. Basically anyone can get into the hotel without a key. No elevator swipe.

Comfy bed as expected at Quest, however there were two long black hairs in the bed which I told myself were the housemaids. Kitchen cupboards and bench top had noticeable dirty marks. Bathroom very clean

We were unable to access our room at 3:30 and had to wait for 30mins. This impacted us greatly as we had a booking in the city at 5pm and were unable to get ready, we had to get changed in the toilets! When we go back at 11pm our key wouldn’t work!
We had no compensation for being inconvenienced and was told be could have a $200 fine for not handing the new key on time. This caused me to get up early to ensure I wasn’t fined.
