Great House for Big Group
The house was roomy and comfortable for 19 people. The kitchen is well stocked and combined with the dining area was a great big space for everyone to eat all together. We were all able to hang out in the main room without ever feeling crowded. The outdoor space with the hot tub and multiple seating areas is great. We also enjoyed using the fire pit. Overall a great stay.

Family time priceless
We had 20 family members coming from 6 states to spend the weekend together. The Grand Log Home fit us well with room to play games, visit and sit down to eat meals together. The house would be even better with a few updates and repairs (needs some TLC) to make the stay a five star. The large living room was perfect for our family worship on Sunday morning, something we will always remember. If you are looking for a house for a large family definitely consider this place.

A really great place for everyone to gather. Beds and bathrooms were awesome--2 washer/dryers. Hot Tub, fire table and pool table were a hit! Kitchen could be better stocked to feed a group. More information about the area from the host would have helped us plan our stay better. Much fun was had by all three generations.

Beautiful home and comfortable for a group
Three families stayed here for a long weekend and we really enjoyed the home. It is very comfortable, roomy for everyone and the hot tub was great. Several quirky things to note are that the upstairs bedroom with two queens is connected the master so they are not private rooms. It was fine for our group since a family could occupy the two rooms. The kids enjoyed the pool table and just the space to have fun. Overall, a very fun experience and comfortable home.

This place is really nice, clean and spacious. Filled with all the basic necessities and appliances. Minutes away from all the attractions and adventure parks. Double car garage and driveway is big enough to park 7 cars. Really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back. The hot tub is a plus!!! Suggestions: It would be really nice if you upgrade TV's. Pool table requires maintenance and replace pool cue sticks.

Responsive, Relaxing and clean
We had the best time at this home. It was close to everything and I can’t say enough about the responsiveness of the owners!!! There are always small things that can come up with any home, but as soon as we reached out, they were able to assist us immediately and had someone come out and all was fixed!! All the questions I had were responded quickly prior to arrival which helped with planning. Lots and lots of space and several of the people enjoyed the hot tub each day!! I also loved the convenience of delivery places that made it easy to not have to plan every meal. We enjoyed games and doing puzzles on the tables and hope to visit again. Highly recommend this property!!!

We rented this house to use as a place to stay for our family and friends for our sons wedding. We have used VRBO before and never had a experience like we did with this house. We do understand that the houses typically on VRBO are income property's and that there are different families in there every week and nothing is perfect . With that said this house had to many issues that could not be overlooked. 1. The skillets were so nasty we would not used them. 2. The lower bedroom had mold on the ceiling. 3. The lower bathroom had mold on the ceiling tile and I mean the whole tile. 4. The fire alarms were removed in two bedroom. 5. There was a griddle but could not fine the cord which was ok since the griddle had rust on it we would not have used it any way. 6. The cabinet that stored the plates smelled like rotten food. 7. Both the upstairs and downstairs dryers didn't work. Had to dry the clothes we washed over the deck railings. 8 Patio door needed three hands to open the door. My 85 year old mother got stuck on the porch because the sliding door would not open for her. 9 The room with the bunk beds had no working lights. 10. For a house that is listed as sleeps 20 don't bring more then 5 cars 11. There are no Views as listed 12 The Master Suite is not private there is a bedroom in the room behind the master bedroom

Mountain Biker Friendly
7 of us recently stayed at this property for our annual mountain biking trip. It's a great house for big groups. Plenty of Beds, bathrooms, living room couches, the huge family table, a rather forgiving pool table, hot tub, kitchen island.....all good. We are serious riders and the location provides us ride options within 1 hour drive from a ton of trails. We hit braleys pond, a killer ridge ride another day and the mass mountain another. There is plenty of room in the garage to work on bikes and store them in the evenings. Its only 20 inutes or so to Shenandoah Bicycle Co for the spare bits. We came from Philadelphia and it was a REALLY quick trip as compared to kingdom trails, pisgah, or slatyfork. The woners are responsive and accomidating and were easy to work with.
