「This is such a beautiful place to stay in Maui. Everything is so closed. The OGG airport is only 25 minutes away. You have beaches super closed, restaurants, parks, food trucks, stores… we loved this place. Eva and Jim were absolutely attentive and welcoming. They made us feel as if we were at home. They are a gem! We will definitely come back to stay at this beautiful place! Thank you so much for your hospitality!」

「This room was conveniently located beyond Paia and the beautiful cliffs at Ho'okipa Beach Park. While we were there, the waves were historically big! There are 3 rentable rooms in this location, with a shared kitchen. I didn't understand that when I booked. The refrigerator space is shared with any other vacationers. Just make sure you label your items well. There were several community (host provided) bananas before I went to bed. When I got up for breakfast, around 6am, they were all gone. We...

「Great location with a very comfortable vibe. We felt relaxed and welcome immediately. Loved being able to meet and chat with Steve & Diane. The bed was especially comfortable and wonderful being able to sleep with the doors open (strong storm prevented us from being able to sleep in the bubble) but didn’t feel like we missed out on an experience as it was still such a quiet, calm, and special place.」

「Natural beauty abounds!」

「We were here for only one night but could have easily stayed more. This was our second time here and it has been wonderful both times. Owners are nearby but give you ypur own space which is wonderful!Nice quiet property and a great tropical feel. Love the lanai area and also the kitchen area and meal options.with places to keep pur own food cold and fresh. Would definitely stay again!」

「Steve and Diane are the perfect hosts! Very responsive. Kula was an excellent choice for us. The nights are cool, the days moderate, the area lusher than down by Kihei. Good access to Haleakala and the adventure of driving over to Hana. All in all the perfect spot! 」

「I cannot say enough great things about this little gem. If you’re looking for a special place to celebrate anything - off the beaten path - but easy access to most of the best of Maui, look no further. Shannon and Josh have made this place truly magical. I cannot wait to return! 」

「Exceeded our expectations! From the easy check-in to the incredible breakfasts, the old-school pool and hanging garden, and an unexpected herd of deer running through the property, this was one of the most relaxing and tranquil escapes we’ve experienced. The town of Makawao gave us tasty afternoon meals (Satori!) and the beautiful mountain area provided plenty of scenic driving. Only advice I’d give is to plan to enjoy the space while you’re staying, as it would be a shame to not settle in....

「We stayed 3 nights. This was the first time to stay upcountry and we were pleasantly surprised by the contrast of the slower pace from the beach areas. Greeted with a smile by Josh as we came to the entry door and he explained about check in. The house is newly renovated, welcoming and very clean all over. The suite is huge, comfortable and private. Shower has plenty of hot water and pressure. We had lovely and tasty breakfast with some items changed every day. Josh will make Latte on request....

Great facilities with an average room and service

"The pros are the hotel has great facilities for families, they have some really good slides for the kids, an arcade room, a Starbucks nearby and also car rental. There are two restaurants onsite and a few others within proximity. I also like the lobby area where they have a couple of tree swings, chess and some activities for the kids. That said, in terms of value, the room does not justify it. The bed was creaking, toilet is really small (you can’t even open the the door fully without swiping the mat on the floor), hot water not working well for the 2 nights we stayed in, temperature of the room can’t go below 20.5. And when the engineer attended the property, he couldn’t help with the issue and didn’t take off his shoes when he came in. Housekeeping did a good job in tidying up the room, unfortunately they only picked up the phone once out of the 4 times we called. All in all, for I felt the rooms definitely need a freshen up to charge the price. "
