「The facilities were nice and the owners were very welcoming. For older less limber, guest the futons beds on the floor made it a little difficult to get up」

「Shayne really made this accommodation worth the visit. He’s very hospitable, knowledgeable and all round a great host. I think his breakfasts every morning were the extra mile and really great way to start a day out in the snow. Some work to be done to the place but I think the positives outweighed these details. 」

「I really enjoyed my time at Dark Horse. The owner and staff are warm and welcoming, and helped out in many ways, both big and small. Breakfasts and dinners were good and the lounge/dining room was a comfortable place to relax after riding. It was great value for the money. I would recommend it, and would stay there again without hesitation.」

「Lovely staff who genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. Very comfortable beds in basic but clean rooms. Great common area with nice amenities. We felt very at home. While the location is great for skiing - lift is right across the street, it was very hard to get into town, to grocery, etc. 」

「ログハウスの珍しいタイプの宿でした。珍しいのでそれなりに興味をそそられました。今回はたまたま仕事で現地を訪れていたので、家族での利用でしたが、使い勝手はビジネスホテルのほうが自由度が高いように感じました。もし遊びで家族で訪れていたのならば、緑が多くて、それなりによかったのかもしれません。」

「Nice lodge, close to bus line that reach the skiing area. Friendly and guests as well as management. All people are there for the skiing and you can make your own breakfast, lunch and dinner in the kitchen. I would stay there again if going again.」

「優點: 地點算是方便, 有提供"接"的服務, 整體算乾淨缺點: 1)人力不足, check out居然沒有送到車站的服務,僅協助叫車 2) 房間備品只有洗髮精沐浴乳吹風機毛巾熱水壺,沒了!!連水杯都沒有 3)早餐就是加熱便當 4)溫泉只開放4點到8點,對於日式旅館是很少見的,滑雪很需要泡湯,這讓我們很不滿意整體而言就只是提供住的地方沒有任何服務,以這樣的房價來比,我相信有更好的選擇 If you only look for a hotel to stay, Bonfire can meet your expectation but nothing more. They even not provide tea cups in room. Breakfast is just a lunch box. They do pick you up to hotel but no more. We have a take taxi when check out. Public bath area is good but only open from 4pm to 8pm...

「For the price, hard to get better than this. I’m coming to ski for 3 days in the Hakuba area. If you are like me, read on. Easy things first, the bad thing, this ryokan is located on top of a small hill, the last 50-100meter you need to walk up a small hill, in winter snowy times when the road is layered with snow or even ice, hauling your ski equipment is no easy task, if you are coming with kids or like me arriving at night could be challenging, location on google map is correct but the walk...

「Very accommodating and supportive. Clear communication on charges and when I will pay through the hotel vs the transportation company. Very quiet construction. We were in a room/studio that allowed us to close off the bed area so that one person was in the bother/living area with the curtains opened while another person was able to sleep undisturbed. 」
