The staff is really friendly, and the hotel has nice details throughout. The rooms are spacious. You know it is a nice hotel by the standard of the bathroom—it was a great bathroom. The pool is lovely and has a small sauna and Turkish bath section.

Das Hotel liegt in herrlicher Natur auf ca. 600 m Höhe, was im Winter und zeitigen Frühjahr zu recht frischen und im Sommer zu angenehm kühlen Temperaturen führt. Sonntags gibt's wenige Gehminuten entfernt einen riesigen Bauernmarkt mit allem was das Herz (und der Magen) begehrt. Leider waren beim Frühstück an den Kaffeeautomaten nur Instantkaffees zu bekommen (außer Espresso). Beim Frühstück sollte mehr auf regionale Produkte gesetzt werden.

L'hébergement est super, un beau jardin avec des belles fleurs et des paons en liberté. Il dispose d'une piscine, hammam et d'un sauna. Le petit-déjeuner en buffet est assez complet, avec du sucré, salé et des fruits. Le seul inconvénient est que les chambres sont assez que du coup les serviettes ont du mal a sécher.

While the hotel itself is generally nice, with welcoming staff who always greeted us with smiles, there were several downsides. Firstly, the hotel's location is both a blessing and a curse. Nestled on a mountain away from the lively atmosphere of Machico, it offers a peaceful retreat. There are no good restaurants or cafes nearby, which makes it difficult if you prefer dining out. The hotel's promotional images are somewhat misleading- depicting chaise lounges on a grassy lawn, suggesting ample outdoor space for relaxation. In reality, the only outdoor area is a covered terrace with a few rattan sofas and armchairs. During our stay, the terrace doors were only open for one morning. Breakfast was okay, but the variety was lacking. The breakfast room itself had a peculiar, quiet vibe with soft ambient music playing, which felt more awkward than relaxing. The gym facilities were quite disappointing. The space is size of a single bedroom, inadequately equipped-consists of a treadmill, a bench, a couple of 3-4kg dumbbells, and a single set of 12 kg weights. Sharing these limited resources with other guests was frustrating.The pool, sauna, and steam room were satisfactory. The daily cleaning process began around 10 am, precisely when many guestswould prefer to use these amenities. The noise from vacuums and cleaners disrupted what should have been a relaxing experience.For those seeking a more engaging and conveniently located accommodation, I recommend looking elsewhere

Strangest hotel I ever stayed in. Let be clear, the hotel looks great, the rooms are spacious and well maintained. General quiet; but here the positive stops. Many odd things such as: There is a kettle in the room, but no coffee or tea amenities. 2 story building, no elevator. Pillows we're to soft to our liking; there are no harder once. They have a great outdoors, balcony for the breakfast, and pattion for relaxing. But eating breakfast outside is not an option, and in the pattio there are just a few seats, and no bar service or anything. The Gym which they mention at checking holds 2 items and nothing else, one threadmill and a bench. The pool, sauna and turkish steam bath are great; but the whole ambiance feels something out of the cold war. The breakfast is basic with very limited options. Instant coffee and juices. Very large space with no ambiance. Breakfast starts at 07:30 with no options for any To-Go if your flight leaves early. So no reccomandation from us on this strange place.
