There were locks on the windows and no air conditioning available. We stayed in mid- September and the room was extremely uncomfortable - we felt trapped. It was nice that there was a kitchen and living room in the unit but the furniture, towels, curtains, and beds were all extremely old, outdated, dirty and uncomfortable. I would have much rather spent an extra 30 pounds per night to stay at an actual hotel if I had the choice to do this again. The location we stayed in was great, however, to get into the dorm room - we first had to check in at another location (with luggage in tow). When we asked if there was a shuttle from one location to another, we not only were told no - but were given attitude as if it was an unreasonable question. There was a 300 pound hold on my credit card dependent on cleaning up after ourselves when we left the room. Our chores included taking out the trash to the local dumpster, washing any dishes that were in the room and making sure to turn off all lights and appliances - if not done, we would be charged.
Lastly, we had a 'great' show the last night by the neighbors on the first floor. Four large men decided to get belligerent drunk and knock handles off doors and scream at each other for a good 30 minutes. (just happy we weren't on the lower level) The cops eventually showed up but no apologies from Acorn.
