This was unfortunately ruined by BED BUGS in our room.
After the first night I woke up with a lot of bites on both hands, arms, and feet, on my back and in the neck. They looked like mosquito bites, so even though there were that many, I did not pay that much attention to it and thought that one of our kids might have forgotten to close the mosquito net.
But then during the day my left arm and foot, which had the most bites, started to swell and on the following morning my foot was so swollen that I had difficulties in wearing my shoes. The characteristic with three bites in a row and the bites turning red and into blisters with infection made the easy conclusion that this could only be bed bugs. I am also not allergic to mosquitos, which I already had plenty of bites from in Taormina. So, we contacted Giuseppe, who then changed the linen. I informed him that this would not solve the issue, so he called the management. Their first response was that this could not be the case, because Giuseppe did not find any bugs in the bed and as my wife also did not get any bites, it must have been something else. If you just do some simple research on it, you will know that even if people sleep in the same bed, not all get bitten and even so, not all get the same reaction.
