「We chose this hotel for its excellent location and its boutique feel. Room was very small and hardly fit 2 small sized guests. Good amenities and clean. Hotel required us to deposit room key every time we left hotel and picked up from the one person manned reception when back to hotel. When reception person was absent, the lobby bar tender helped. 「Hotel Shikisai Kyoto was a great choice for our stay in Kyoto. Since we were staying 6 nights, we wanted a larger room and that’s what this hotel specializes in. Our room was like a suite and included a laundry machine. Used that machine to wash a small load every day. No money required. There were only 2 rooms per floor, so very quiet. Never even saw the other guests. Room was very clean and the staff serviced it everyday. You can opt out of service but it was great having the room refreshed...
