The staff was helpful, service-minded and effective above and beyond what I expected. Two ladies there spoke excellent English. The others very little, but they did their utmost to help me in any way they can. Google Translate took care of the rest.
Being a Gold-member of hotels.com, the VIP perks were promptly made available, and I felt so welcome and taken care of. The first room I was given smelled of tobacco smoke so I asked for a different room. In no time, they made a different room available for me, which smelled cleanliness and nothing else.
The only downside was that there were technical difficulties with the internet connection, which wasn't solved by the time I checked out.
