I stayed at Barcelo Istanbul hotel from October 13 to Oct 23.I was asked for a deposit of 100 euros upon my arrival which I did give. Another couple that checked in the same date was not asked for a deposit.
At check out the clerk informed me that I cannot receive the 100 euros back but he gave me a lesser amount in Turkish lira. I found this strange but it was 4 am , our taxi was waiting and I did not want to argue.
Upon my return, I have sent emails to the hotel but did not receive any answers which I find not professional.
During my stay I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room - thank you Nurten Hanim- the location, the breakfast buffet . There is nothing negative I can say about my stay but not getting any answers as to why did not receive the full deposit back effects the rating of my review. I asking for the management to do the right thing and return my full deposit .
