Generally good service from staff as can be expected from any 5 star resorts. Complimentary drinking water, buggy service (when you're tired to walk), snorkeling equipments, 1 hour canoe per rental - good! For snorkeling, not too many big fishes (but enough variety) near the beaches and water villas but seen several reef sharks below the French restaurant before one dinner! Being a bigger resort than some had advantages, namely more seaplane movements and restaurant choices. The French restaurant, Flavours, is pricey but good quality. The Italian one, Trio, is value for money. The other's are ok but recommend these 2 for dinners.
Rooms are nice except the following points:
- taps design (throughout resort) prone to leaking, require almost precise position to turn off. Not what I expected from a place where water is precious!
- Water Villa's toilet is quite narrow, can't imagine how a big person can sit down properly!
- Beach Villa's toilet and shower is outside of the room in the back 'garden', kids (and perhaps some adults too!) may not be comfortable with insects and geckos around!
- Beach Villa's sound proofing is not so good. If your neighbours had other friends and family gathering in the open area of their villa, can get quite noisy at night!
