Mor Carraig is a traditional highland cottage, situated on an acre of grounds, with stunning views of Loch Ness and the mountains beyond. Dating back to the 1850's this cottage has been renovated and maintained to an exceptionally high standard making it the perfect holiday getaway for families and couples alike. Soak up the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the Abriachan rural community with the knowledge that the amenities and convenience of Inverness, the highland capital, are only 9 miles away. Mor Carraig has a lovely cosy sitting room, perfect for a romantic evening by the open fire or for the family to enjoy spending time, just being together. Don't forget your bath salts and aromatherapy oils and experience the pure indulgence of sinking slowly into the large deep tub, leaving the stress of modern life far behind. The spacious, warm and comfortable bedrooms will welcome you to a perfect nights sleep and during the day you will be drawn to the splendid conservatory complete with lounge and dining furniture. There could be nowhere more perfect to have your breakfast and take in the magnificent views of Loch Ness. Morning Coffee will never be the same, enjoy a leisurely lunch or best of all, an evening sitting around the dining table with your family and friends chatting and at the same time being spoilt by the ever changing and never ending views. Beautiful house & area
So homely, easy to relax here and whatever the weather there is always plenty to do. Walks are easy to access from the door, dolphins up the road, castles, waterfalls, fossil beach on the Black Isle and always reading or games in the conservatory. Inverness itself is so convenient but you feel as if you’re fully in the countryside. Our second holiday here and hopefully not our last.

Perfect Highland Holiday
We had the perfect family Highland holiday in Mor Carraig with our young son (1yo) and his grandparents (70s). The property is as described and the photos do not do the viewing justice. The owner was quick to respond to queries we had during the holiday. We are already trying to plan when we can return for another holiday there!

What an incredible view!
We loved our stay at Mor Carraig! Wonderful period house with bags of character. The view of Loch Ness from the sun room is unmatched. Very prompt and friendly responses from the manager when we needed him. Would definitely stay again.

A much needed break
The house is set in a private but not secluded position with excellent views over loch Ness towards the mountains. The conservatory might get a bit cold, it was the middle of winter after all, but the main house is cosy and warm with plenty of fuel for the open fire if you care to use it. The kitchen is well appointed and the utility room set out so washing cloths is easy. All in all, an excellent place to stay and recharge. Both the owner and property manager were easy to reach for the few issues that came up and things went very smoothly.

Serenity and Beauty at its Finest!
Our stay was exactly what we needed..tranquility, beauty and comfort! The cottage was perfect in every way, a cozy retreat away from the hustle of the city and close enough to be convenient. Comfortable beds and bedrooms, a nicely appointed kitchen and utility room, 2 bathrooms and a cozy living room and conservatory with awesome views makes this home 5 stars and then some! Sehr ruhig, gemütlicher Wintergarten, traumhafter Garten komplett eingezäunt auch für Hunde geeignet. Ein zweites vollwertiges Bad wäre wünschenswert. Töpfe, Pfannen und Besteck sollten mal ersetzt werden.

Booked this last minute and what a gem. Lovely place our dog loved the garden and snow. We really relaxed and enjoyed our Christmas. The cottage has everything you need. Our 2nd Visit
We love this cottage. Tucked away up a private road, it's really quiet. You can spend time just watching the changing scenery over Loch Ness and the deers and the rabbits playing in the garden. It is so relaxing.

The property is lovely clean and cosy, the situation of the property is stunning surrounded by fields, trees and overlooking Loch Ness. We woke up to seeing deer in the back garden, absolutely beautiful place and ideal as near enough for going and exploring areas near by. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again.
