About this space
Welcome to Das Familien Haus, a 4 level 'hide and seek' chalet with stellar views of Diamond Peak ski lifts. Surprises on each level: a retro bar with with model gondola in the rec/yoga room with new wood floor...Go lower and find a vintage billiard/ping pong room. New carpeting and flooring in upstairs bedrooms, decks on 3 levels, new tile shower upstairs, a bunk bed...plenty of space. Hiking trailhead is steps away. New cabin-style furniture, new stove and fridge and well-stocked kitchen!
The space
This house has 4 levels, with updated bedrooms on the main two levels. One is on the main level and has room-darkening curtains and a queen bed and a full bath beside it. The upstairs has three bedrooms and one full bathroom. All have been updated. We just installed a new French Door refrigerator and bought a new gas grill for the back deck for all your grilling needs! One has a nice bunk bed, one has a queen. One room has a private covered porch. The large rec room on lower level has a new wood floor and also has its own covered porch. It has a vintage bar.
Guest access
You may use all the levels and rooms of the house. Note that the ping pong/pool table room is less updated. It is a blast from the past! People should sleep on the top three levels. Sorry the pin ball machine does not work. It has been there for decades. :) Just thought people would get a kick out of at least seeing it.
Other things to note
This Short Term Rental is permitted with Washoe County, Nevada, permit # WSTR21-0473. Maximum occupancy is 4 people. I do have 4 bedrooms, 4 beds and at this time, just one parking space. No off-site street parking beyond our one space currently.
I also regret to let you know that the new Incline Village ordinance has gotten much stricter. We can no longer offer beach access to guests. :( I can recommend some beautiful public beaches on the way to Kings Beach and beyond if you'd like some ideas. Sand Harbor is lovely, but crowded in the summer and hard to park. It's best to use the shuttles available from some of the main parking lots in town, or you can go to the parking by Tunnel Creek Cafe and walk to the beaches on the pretty trail with gorgeous lake views. :)
