「My stay at the kings Head was largely very satisfactory. You will no doubt be aware that the Inn is in need of serious renovation and has been for a number of years. The food was excellent at all times both for Breakfast and the evening meals that I had over a 2 night stay. Possibly one of the best pies I've ever tasted. The Abbott Reserve Ale on offer was a very welcome bonus at £3.00 a pint. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout my stay and made me feel very welcome to be staying....

「I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and would not return if the stay was not good. The rooms are comfortable and the staff excellent. (Especially Anya the bar manager who could not do enough for us, whatever our demands) The Breakfast is excellent too with a large range of cooked options.」

「I had a comfy bed. Heating was easily controlled. Very basic accommodation but had good tea/ coffee facilities. Very small shower but adequate. Seemed to be a lovely popular pub in a lovely area and a footpath were you could go for a walk but I wasnt there long enough to enjoy any of these things. There is some frequent noise from planes going to Gatwick but I took my earplugs. I would certainly stay again because I was very happy there and felt safe even though I was a lady on my own in one of...

Poor soundproofing

"The soundproofing is poor, and I can hear the snoring from the neighboring room at night. I requested two bottled waters, but they did not provide them. The drainage in the bathroom is poor - after about 10 minutes of showering, the water starts draining out, as the shower area has a shallow floor and does not have enough time to properly drain. However, the hotel is indeed very close to the airport."

Convenient

"We checked in after midnight as we need to stay for one night before return home. Check in process was efficient and took only a few minutes. Reception lady was courteous and efficient. Would certainly stay again if needed in future."
