"Fantastic staff, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rosa was a massive help to us in seeing the northern lights. Possibly best shower I've ever used. Good room, duvet and pillows could be more comfortable. Nice breakfast included, and the Japanese cuisine restaurant downstairs for dinner was possibly my favourite meal of the holiday. "Love the historic hotel and view of the lake. The bar tender was very accommodating to help us with dinner in the lounge. The only negative was a pushy drunk that was roaming around interrupting us."

"We were not given the large room we had deliberately booked, so 2 stars down just for that. The hotel is designed for conferences and large corporate events. During our stay it was virtually empty. In the lobby there are plenty of large, modern and uncomfortable chairs and sofas. I did not find somewhere relaxing to sit, certainly not in the room either. Breakfast was good and staff always had a smile."

"The Hotel is lovely , so close to the Shops and Fish Market , and the Staff are so polite and helpful. The Beds / Bedding so comfortable. And the choices at Breakfast were delightful. Highly recommend Bergen and Thon Hotel Bristol."

"Amazing stay. The breakfast was the best breakfast experience of my life. Clean place. Shower is fold out so it can be slightly inconvenient due to wet floor, no shelves, and the shower head wouldn’t hold in place. Everything else was perfect."

"Very easy walk from tram from airport. Center of old town, shopping and tons of places to eat. Great location, staff extremely helpful and the breakfast was the best. Large buffet and you can order from the menu too!! Will stay there our next visit"

"An absolute gem! Located in the beautiful heart of Bryggen the hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable and packed full of character. Perfectly placed to explore Bergen, all the must do tourist spots are walking distance along with the train station to explore the rest of Norway. The buffet style breakfast is an excellent start to the day with plenty of choice and a wealth of excellent restaurants surround the hotel so you won’t struggle to find somewhere for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...
