「Clean and comfortable place to stay. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I was traveling with my daughter and dog and felt very safe, even taking the dog out in the middle of the night. Breakfast was also very good. I would definitely stay here again. 」

「The hotel is in the midst of a desperately needed renovation, and the parts that are done are nice. But the kindness and concern of the manager (owner?) was remarkable - literally the best I’ve ever experienced. I would gladly overlook the hotel’s shortcomings just to come visit such a truly amazing person if I come back this way again.」

「Off the beaten path, but SO much better than staying at a chain hotel! Cabins are older, but in excellent shape. Very comfortable bed, gas fireplace and so much charm.」

「Met basic needs for a short 2 day stay. A bit dated, but rustic themed.」

「Its a quiet neighborhood for the most part (some shooting activities nearby) Home is clean, has most of everything you need for a long stay, and pretty easy to find even if you miss the first turn! 」

「House was clean, beds were good, bathroom clean and well stocked. Had a fan in the basement which I’m happy for hubby forgot his. Easy check in and out. Thank you for a nice weekend!」

「Quality staff 」

「We came to town for the weekend to visit family. The place was clean and neat. Great location to local businesses. Great communication with host, I will stay here next time in town. 」

「This was a cozy place to spend Thanksgiving weekend after visiting family in Rockford. I was craving the crackle and pop of a wood burning fireplace and arrived with plenty of firewood. The fireplace is GAS which was a surprise. Besides that minor let down it was a comfortable weekend and the river is beautiful. Great shower, good kitchen. It was frigid during our stay so we didn't get to take of advantage of the parks in the area, but there are plenty of options for outdoor activities nearby....

「We were in town for a funeral and rented this cozy space. There were 4 grown adults. This was the perfect spot. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, the shower had enough hot water for 4 showers every morning. Would 1000% recommend. If I had to make one suggestion it would be for a railing by the front stairs. The first stair was a big one and my elderly parents struggled with it. We just made sure we were always with them, so not a complaint. The house...
