I checked in at 3:00. At 5 or so the power went out. There was no back up lights or generator on property, and no one could tell us how long it would be off. I checked GA Power myself and was told it would be off 3 to 4 hours. We decided to Check out and ask for refund. They told me that since we booked thru Expedia there was no refunds. I tried to contact Expedia but I have not received a reply.

The indoor pool was a big plus. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about. We got the room at a pretty nice discount given that it's December tourist season up in Northeast Georgia.

We were only staying one night at the hotel for a wedding nearby. When I tried to call about an early check in it took several attempts to even get through to someone. They said if a room was ready I could check in earlier than 4. While on our way from the airport I tried calling again to see if a room was ready. No answer all 4 tries. We arrived at 1 and the man at the desk said check in was at 4 and wouldn’t even look to see if there was a room available. We ended up not checking in until 11pm after our event. Sometime in the middle of the night the power went out. We had to be out the door by 5am and had to get ready with the lights of our phones.

We stay here every year for our annual waterfall visiting trip. The previous three years, they had a hot breakfast. But this year it’s just cereal, waffles, bagels or toast, and yogurt. Just wish they’d add muffins, fresh fruit like apples or oranges, and cold boiled eggs, if they are minimizing. Bed was comfy as usual, and their inside pool is the best! Customer service was wonderful. Will return next year.

We stayed in room 113. There was candy on the floor, hairs in the bathroom, a lamp that didn’t work, holes in the wall and another in the bathroom door. The floor boards were loose and moved when you walked. The duvet was torn and covered with a flat sheet. The room smelled of cigars despite the property being nonsmoking. We only stayed one night thank goodness. The water was hot, and the bed comfortable. We chose it based on location. There was no pride in ownership displayed. Weeds were overgrown, trash in the parking lot and landscaping. Cones blocked off the gold member parking. We had to ring a bell at the desk to receive service, even at prime afternoon check in time. The guest laundry was out of service. Just so many things that a little effort could have improved. If this were my hotel, I’d be ashamed to rent room 113 to anyone let alone a gold member. I cannot recommend this property in its current condition. Choice should drop it down to a roadway inn. It’s not up to par to be a clarion!
