I arrived at 1 a.m. with my family after driving all the way from Miami, and we spent an hour waiting to check in because, according to the receptionist, the room that had been assigned to me had already been rented out. During this time, my children, exhausted from the trip, were sleeping on the furniture in the lobby.
At 2 a.m., the receptionist finally realized that no one was actually in my assigned room and that the issue was simply a problem with the lock that wouldn’t open. I understand this kind of thing can happen to anyone, but I find it unacceptable that she didn’t know whether the room was available or not, especially considering I paid $300 for just a few hours of such poor service.
On top of that, at 10:30 a.m., someone from the hotel opened the door to the room without knocking, and this happened while my kids were in the shower. After such a long trip, this hotel honestly left me with a bad impression.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I cannot recommend this place.
