A Disappointing Stay
I had a thoroughly disappointing experience at this hotel, and I regret choosing it for my stay. Here’s why:
1. Poor Communication: Despite sending multiple emails and attempting calls to request a late check-in, I received no response. When I brought this up with the reception, I was told they were “too busy” to reply. This lack of professionalism was unacceptable.
2. Confusing Location: The hotel is poorly marked, with no clear signage or entrance indicators. I wasted a lot of time figuring out where to go.
3. Room Key Issues: My room key stopped working every other day, forcing me to repeatedly visit the reception to have it reactivated. This was highly inconvenient.
4. Rude Staff: The hotel staff lacked basic courtesy. Their demeanor was rude and unhelpful throughout my stay.
5. Unreasonable Interactions: At 4 a.m., while waiting for a cab after my wife’s early flight, I was abruptly asked if I was checking out, which made me feel rushed and unwelcome.
6. Paid Wi-Fi in a Superior Room: This was the first hotel I’ve stayed at where Wi-Fi was not complimentary in a superior room. Despite paying extra for an upgrade, there was no discernible difference between the standard and superior rooms.
7. Forcing Breakfast to Access Wi-Fi: I didn’t want the hotel’s breakfast, but I was essentially forced to pay for it if I wanted Wi-Fi access. This is unacceptable and exploitative.
8. Basic Amenities Missing: Upon checking in, there was no shower gel in the room.
