“We first stayed at Bongani Mountain Lodge 15 years ago and returned when we saw it on special over new year. Not much has changed in 15 years. We had a nice time - the food was good and our ranger and tracker were pleasant and informative. I would not rate this lodge as luxury. The room, with a queen size bed, had seen better days and with the thatch roof and poor choice of tiles it always seemed a bit grubby. The game viewing is not great. There are not many animals to be seen and as much as……

“The hotel is convenient to go to the Kruger Park. one of the hotels room was so comfortable and welcoming. friendly staff and he tried to accommodate us even though it was not his fault that the hotel sold us a room that had been already sold. We paid for two rooms. They only gave us one room for the price we paid for and did not have the other room available, so they gave us another room that was cheaper and not give us the money back since we paid in advance through hotels.com. ”

“This used to be a magnificent hotel which I stayed in many times. Now it’s a run down shell. The room offered was squalid and to get to it I had to drive down a dirt track and the area outside was overrun by wild baboons. No food was available and I had not been told this in advance. I left and stayed across the road in an alternate hotel. May it one day return to what it once was.”
