“We had a great stay at this historic hotel. Check in/check out was smooth. Great breakfast selection with hearty portion. Room is clean and bed is just the right firmness that you can wake up rejuvenated without backache. “We had a lovely 2 night stay at Stone House Hotel in one of the garden rooms. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was modern, clean, and spacious, with a lovely big bath and nice toiletries to use (bath/shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, hand wash). Not necessarily negatives, but things to consider: Being in a garden room, we had patio doors out. It was lovely, however meant we didn't have a window to open when it was warm, and we didn't want……

“A sole cyclist, good check in. Secure parking for my bike. An upgrade on a room. Good facilities, lots of hot water. Clean fluffy towels, comfortable bed. Smart TV, tea coffee, bathroom soap etc. quiet night. Full breakfast, juice, coffee toast, croissant, jam butter and a fried English. Very good. Would return, the building is old, a bit run down, but lots of character.”
