“Recently returned from a short break at Wildgoose Cottage. The cottage is deceptively spacious, warm and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. It is ideally situated just off the Cleveland Way to walk into Whitby, a flat walk approx 45-50 minutes or to Robin Hoods Bay a more undulating walk approx 2.5 hours, both with fantastic views. The ‘lane’ up to the cottage is a rough single track bridleway, currently, with several potholes. Many other cottages we’ve stayed in provide a file/card……

“Overall property good .could do with just sma touches to finish off they could make more of it... Didnt agree with check out wanting us to strip bedding so for me that would be 4 beds. “Everything was wonderful. Our hosts even included a pack of biscuits and 500ml of milk in the fridge. The road up to the cottage is a well maintained farm road as long as you drive at no more than 10 mph. Very comfortable king size bed sith luxurious bath towels etc. The wifi worked well as did the tv although we hardly had it on. The towns of Pickering & Malton were less than 5 miles away, both with good & interesting shops. I look forward to returning on my next visit.”

“Property was ideal for our needs, especially the three bedrooms. As others have mentioned, the shower is cosy. I think I put the bin in the wrong place as it was not emptied. Sorry. Whitby is one of our favourite places so it was great to be able to enjoy a few evenings without worrying about driving home.”

“My daughter and myself stayed here for 3 nights and wished we had stayed for longer. The apartment was so tastefully decorated, comfy and a real haven of peace and quiet. Parking was no problem and we always found a space opposite. Whitby is a great place to stay with so many lovely places to eat and drink and lots to see nearby. A beautiful part of England! “Fantastic little apartment in a brilliant location. Apartment had everything you needed and more for a weekend away. We had apartment 5 right at the very top, so no noise. Theres 2 long stay car parks nearby at £6 for 24 hours.Only complaint would be the key code to get in. I really struggled with it, especially after a few drinks 😉”

“We had a super stay and it was ideal for our mixed family group. Very well equipped and beautifully appointed. Our only disappointment was the lack of the BBQ as we had meals planned and food bought! After discussion with the host we bought a small BBQ which we have left at the property so that no one else will be in our position!”
