Whether you are looking for a peaceful romantic getaway or a quiet family friendly lodge, this cabin is a perfect quiet respite away from stresses of daily life. Nestled on a bench above the Yellowstone River this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin sleeps six comfortably with a sofa sleeper boasting a new memory foam mattress. This modern cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, stocked with all of the needed utensils and spices. The washer and dryer can be handy on those long trips. The front porch offers great views of the mountains, sunsets and visiting wildlife. Enjoy it in the morning with a cup of coffee or in the evening with a refreshing beverage. With the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park only 5 miles away, there is plenty to see and do. Spend time white water rafting, horseback riding, fly fishing or just traveling through the Park to return to this peaceful area each evening. There is an outdoor grill and campfire ring with all of the necessary charcoal and firewood available for use. For larger family gatherings the option of an RV site hook up or lawn space for a tent set up are available accommodations that can be made at the time of booking.

What a Gem!

Let me start off by saying, if I could give more than 5 stars in all categories, I would. This sweet cottage was perfect for our getaway and Tracy and Yosi provided everything one needs to enjoy the property as well as the area. The home is so comfortable with hotel-quality towels and bedding, plenty of dishes and cookware, comfortable seating both inside and out and luxury touches throughout. The property is perfectly located, just a few miles from town and the entrance to YNP. The cottage was impressively clean and Tracy was quick to respond to all our questions. I cannot say enough good things about this cabin. It is perfect for a couple or a family. I will be recommending it to all my friends. Do not hesitate to book it for your trip to visit Yellowstone and the surrounding area!

Incredible!!!

This was by far, the best vacation rental we ever stayed at. It truly felt like “home”.The kitchen was VERY well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Appreciated the motion sensor night lights. Daily visits from the elk herd were nice. One day, they even bedded down in the yard for several hours. We appreciated the yummy huckleberry items that were left for us by the property owners. About 10 min. Drive to downtown Gardiner and the north entrance to YNP where there was a magnificent display of a bull elk in rut trying to impress the lady elks. Staying at the ROCKIN Y allowed us to make so many great memories!!

Prime location

This property is only a few minutes to the north entrance of YNP. My kids loved the yard games, watching the night sky, and playing in the small stream. Super clean, kitchen well stocked. I would only suggest a crock pot might be a good addition. Great game and puzzles. We loved the books about yellowstone. Thanks fornsharing your home with us.

Highly recommended!

My family and I stayed at the Rocking Y during our vacation to see Yellowstone. The location was great! Gardiner, MT had everything you could want as far as restaurants, grocery store, and gift shops, and easy access to the North Entrance of Yellowstone. At the cabin, we slept great and enjoyed the scenery, fire pit, and horseshoes. We also really appreciated all the extras like bear spray, cooler, ice packs, etc. Thank you, Rocking Y for your hospitality! We loved it!

This was the cleanest VRBO we have EVER stayed in!!! The owners had lots of spices, cookware, coolers, bear spray, bug spray, and binoculars for us to use. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We highly recommend this cabin to stay in. We had Elk walking through the property, and we loved that. And we look forward to our next trip back to Montana. And the owners were so gracious that they had welcome gifts for us. The huckleberry is amazing!! Thank you Tracy and Yoshi.

Wonderful touches in a beautiful setting

Tracy and Yoshi have thought of everything to take pressure off during a stay. Everything from zip lock bags and cling wrap to chap sticks to charcoal for the grill. The dryer stopped working during our stay and they replaced it immediately. Excellent communication and a wonderful visit.

Cozy, Peaceful Cabin

Tracy and Yoshi's cabin just a few minutes outside of Gardiner yet provides a peaceful setting from which to enjoy the front porch and evening's sunset. We were greeted by a lovely hand-written note and some wonderful small gifts featuring Montana Huckleberry. The kitchen is well equipped and contained basic kitchen supplies. The rooms are comfortable for our party of 4 and the remodeled ensuite bath was very well done. The 2nd bedroom top bunk is close to the ceiling, so our grandson chose to use the sofa bed instead. The town of Gardiner was a quick 5-minute drive. Access to the park is a bit more difficult since the floods of 2022 - a 15-minute drive up a winding road may try one's patience - but the 3-to-4 miles backup I encountered on the entrance road from West Yellowstone is no better.

this place has it all! Excellent place to visit the Northwestern Yellowstone park. Right out of the city, very secluded and excellent view. Two bedrooms with two bathrooms, full kitchen. We really had a great time there.

Wonderful location

Perfect getaway cabin just a short drive to north entrance of YNP. Quiet, spacious, super clean, comfy beds, full kitchen, good WiFi, and terrific heaters! Tracy is a great host and is right next door if you need anything. She knows the area and the park if you need suggestions. Herd of elk in meadow to greet us the evening we arrived. Gardiner is just down the road and offered everything we needed. Much less touristy than West Yellowstone. Our stay was in early May, so we missed the crowds. Enjoyed our time relaxing at the cabin and so glad we chose the Rockin Y. If you're considering Gardiner, this is a winner!

Perfect Yellowstone North Gate Stay

We can't recommend this cabin enough. Just outside of Gardiner so you don't have the crowds but close enough to run in town for dinner. The cabin is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved watching the mule deer around the cabin every day. Tracy is a very responsive and accomodating host. We would definitely stay here again :)

This cozy cabin is very organized, clean, and functional. It has very thing that you would want. The floor heaters in all the rooms work great and keep the cabin nice a comfortable for those cold Fall nights. We enjoyed our 3 night stay there very much. The welcoming gifts were a wonderful surprise and touch. Thank you Tracy and Yoshi. The cabin is in a perfect location just right off the highway very close to downtown Gardiner and the Yellowstone National Park only a few minutes away. A lot of Wildlife in the area which was fun to see. Cow Elk feeding in the neighbor’s yard and a huge herd of 78 Elk relaxing on private property in a field across the highway. Chico Hot Springs is about a 45 minute drive. Fabulous restaurant there! Worth the drive. Paradise Valley is truly God’s Country!

I booked this property largely based on the massive number of 5* reviews. First. YNP speaks for itself. No matter where you stay, you'll be driving a lot in order to see everything. This location is near the north entrance, Gardiner MT. While west Yosemite and the west gate may be closer to some things, I'd stay in Gardiner again. It is a small town but had all the essentials (restaurants, grocery) plus a GORGEOUS drive you wouldn't have if you stayed elsewhere and felt less touristy. It's very close to mammoth hot springs. It had more local elk than other towns. The cabin. Perfect! Tracy was friendly and quick to help with travel ideas. The house was exceptionally clean. I'm the person who usually sanitizes everything on arrival. No need here. In addition to all you'd expect from a 5* stay (exceptional bed comfort, linens, towels, kitchen accessories), they had extra.... high quality griddle for pancakes, bear spray / cooler/ ice packs for day trips. And the welcome gift was so personal and kind i was honestly overwhelmed with gratitude. I went with my daughters (16 and 20 yo), we felt right at home. Oh, and the stars!!!!! I hope to return! Thank you Tracy and Yoshi! Best wishes to you in your lovely town!

This was the cutest cabin! Just a couple of miles from the park entrance. Beautiful view from the front porch/yard. Elk sighting every day from the cabin. One even walked right through the yard while I was enjoying my morning coffee. Tracy was an awesome host!
