Not our first time here. Dee at the front desk has been here since we started coming here a few years ago. She’s always pleasant and friendly. This is a great place to stay if you’re going to walk the Strand and it’s got great views of the action on the harbor. We usually upgrade to one of the King Suites on the harbor end of the building for the best views. It’s between two great restaurants so it’s really convenient if you don’t want to walk far to eat. Also it’s very convenient for those who are going on one of the cruises that leave out of Galveston.

For some reason, the bedding felt all wet or damp if you will, which really was not very welcoming. The service was good. The front desk was welcoming and helpful.

Overall, we felt like this was a pretty average ordinary hotel. The location was good, close to several restaurants and shops. However, we felt that it was extremely overpriced, considering the quality and the upkeep on the property. The rooms were a decent size, but not everything worked, including the television and it looked like it was in desperate need of a paint job. The breakfast area was very small and basic. We would not stay here again, considering the price.

we liked the location to the cruise port also the building that it is in reminded me of and ole warehouse that was turned in to a hotel it is beautiful then in the evening watching to ships and boats coming in to harbor that was relaxing could use more seat out their but over all great we would stay their again

Overall just a super meh experience at a very expensive price. The good was location near food/good coffee, shopping, and cruise terminal. Everything else about this hotel is nothing worth the money. The electric in the room is glitchy, when the AC comes on the light in the corner dims, the fan over the bed is stuck and will not rotate, there are switches on walls that do nothing, a K-cup was so badly damaged by either age or cleaning chemicals I would not use it nor as a hotel staff member would I have given it to a guest. The bed is severely broken down and did not have a fitted sheet but instead sleep directly on mattress pad. The front desk staff were apathetic at best (other than checkout staff because she was friendly and polite) in general had better service at a motel 6. I would likely stay anywhere else if I came here again. The shuttle service was super reasonable to the cruise terminal however. They need to do some real maintenance and train weekend staff better and it would be more tolerable at the price.

Great location and great hotel. Best part was the staff, we arrived very late with only the night staff present to check us in. He was so lovely and friendly which was really nice after a long travel day full of delays. Great eating and shopping just a short walk away. Highly recommend this hotel.
