“Staff were friendly. I arrived quite late so didn't have much time at the hotel. Could do with a little more upkeep but that kind of thing doesn't bother me. Bedroom was at the end of a long twisty turny corridor, up and down steps etc which was fine for me but not for elderly or mobility issues. Room was cosy. My main concern was the cleanliness of the bedsheets. There were numerous marks and short hairs. I actually ended up taking the sheet off and turning it over, slightly better on the other……

“Came for one night with my 2 young sons. For a bit of fun and to use the pool. Gorgeous surroundings. The pool was lovely and Clean. Our Room had a double bed a single bed plus a pull out bed. The main beds were really comfy. The pull out not so much. Room was great for us. There was the odd mark on the carpets etc but not a problem for us. Hotel allows dogs for an extra free. We heard a bit of woofing from the next room but that stopped before bedtime. Room service was easy to order through……

“Not been back home to Southport in twenty years. I wanted a hotel just off the beaten track. Leicester road, know it well. Service is all about time, skill and dedication and after a lifetime in catering. You get that at the Leicester hotel. Special thanks to the chef, great breakfast as I never got to thank you in person. Thanks for the coffee tip. Thank you great stay, all the best.”
