Hotel is located in a nice area with ample parking and a nice dock, a little sandy area and an outdoor pool. Fishing dock is supposed to be private, but several people just parked and walked over. So while the hotel seemed to be fairly empty, there were a decent amount of people hanging out at the dock fishing and several people swimming. I can't confirm for sure, but I suspect it would be less people if the "private" part were enforced. We were given wrist bands, but no one was checking those.
The building it's self is older, but decent, except for our specific room. It was damp and musty in our room, and the smell, at first we just thought it was because it was humid in the room and the A/C was not on, but after checking the A/C and letting it run for a while, it still had an odd smell in the room. We were only there for one night and exhausted, so we did not complain. The bed seemed clean enough and that's all we really needed. Maybe it was just our room, we weren't there long enough to find out. The front desk staff was nice enough, so I'm sure they would have moved us had we asked, but based on the condition of the rest of the hotel, I didn't feel it was worth the hassle.
