Randy, the new employee who checked me in, stated that my payment to Expedia was just a “hold” and not a payment. I had a receipt from Expedia, but he said that he did not need to see it. Randy then proceeded to charge me for the stay and at a rate higher than I had paid with Expedia.
Luckily, the morning concierge was able to confirm and correct the mistake. I didn’t get her name, but she was experienced and very nice.
On a separate note, there was hair in the shower and by the sink from the previous guest in my room, upon arriving. Also, the A/C air had an on and off again aroma of urine, like it was wafting up from the sidewalk outside and in through the vents of the A/C unit under the window.. A daily morning wash-down of the sidewalks around the building may be worth considering.
All that aside, the bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. I actually slept well.
