Our 2 bedroom comfortable and well appointed 2 story house is decorated to feel like it's your own when you stay.
Our goal is for your stay to feel as though it is your home while you are our guests. It is decorated and set up with minimum personal belongings to allow you to have this experience. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, microwave, foreman grill, mixer, kettle, knives etc. the living room has fireplace, comfortable seating options, open views and a dining area. The 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom is upstairs. New Farho heater in each bedroom. Storage heater and fireplace in living room. Wall convection heater in bathroom. Flooring is laminated wood, bathroom floor is tiled, and carpeting on the stairs. Washing machine is available and your own drying lines are available to have your clothes dry in the fresh Irish air. If you prefer to use dryers, there are machines available 1 minute away at Circle K. Off street parking is available.
Fermoy is a town on the River Blackwater in east County Cork, Ireland. 2 1/2 hour drive from Dublin airport, 45 min drive from Cork Airport, and 1 1/2 hours from Shannon Airport. The Blackwater river is one of the town's attractions and is popular for salmon and coarse fishing and rowing. Along the banks is a beautiful river-side walk. We also have many forest hikes close by, golf courses, swimming, pitch n’ putt, historic churches, megalithic attractions , friendly pubs & great restaurants etc. Fermoy is also home to the incredible lord of the dance star Michael Flatley at Castlehyde.
Our place is a great base for exploring the history and attractions of Co, Cork. It’s an easy drive to cork city and Airport, and many beautiful spots such as Blarney castle, Kinsale, Youghal, Fota Wildlife park, Cobh (Last stop of the titanic), and many coastal villages and islands included on the famous Wild Atlantic Way drive. Easy drive to surrounding counties including Co, Kerry for the Ring of Kerry drive, Killarney Lakes, Torc waterfalls etc. County Tipperary is close by as is Co. Waterford the home of the famous crystal and the copper coast drive. If you’re looking for brewery’s and distilleries to visit.. you can choose from many on https://whiskeytrail.ie. You can also drive to Co, Limerick, Co, Dublin, and Co, Wexford, Co, Tipperary for day trips and sight seeing. Overall Fermoy is a great centrally located touring point for Ireland.
*Fermoy Town Walk
While visiting take the: *Fermoy Town Walk of this former military town, highlighting the numerous historical and heritage sites throughout the town, such as the old Wesleyan church, the Viaduct and Fitzgerald Camp.
*Fermoy, Reservoir Loop
The Reservoir Loop encompasses forestry and country roads, and offers a number of points of interest, including the Fermoy town reservoir and Carraig an Aifreann (a local mass rock). The country roads can be busy, so take all due caution.
*Fermoy Pike Loop
This is a town-based trail, which will bring you past some of Fermoy’s most iconic landmarks, including Christchurch. Footpaths are available for use over the entire length of the walk.
* Fermoy Corrin Loop
The Corrin Loop brings you from Fermoy’s town centre to the top of nearby Corrin Hill and back, with some beautiful views over the town along the way. This walk is hilly and follows country roads, which can be busy.
