「Room was clean and comfortable although the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. It’s a shame the view out of the window couldn’t be tied up. The pub itself is brilliant and the food and service is outstanding 」

「We picked a very busy day to need a bed in Durham as it was the university open weekend. La Spada was reasonably priced & good enough, despite quite a few adverse reviews. The hotel is not set up to take guests after 10pm, a fact not highlighted when we booked at 11.30pm & then tried to get in. Fortunately we were admitted. There was no breakfast service.」

「Great little hotel for an overnight stay or, like us, two nights. Our room, although small, was adequate for our needs. Ideal for a couple, like us, with no children in tow. We liked the little extra touch of Sandra contacting us the day before to ask what time we were arriving. Sandra and her staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our short stay and the morning breakfasts were well cooked and tasty. Just right to start the day. Thanks to all at Hotel 33. We enjoyed our stay.」
