“My husband and I stayed for 9 days with our dogs to hike in Daniel Boone National Forest and paddle board in Laurel Lake. The hosts were super kind and even offered to drop us off to do some boating and gave us some fresh eggs for breakfast!”

“The apartment was very close to the Red River Gorge Geological area. Main Hwy and access hwy right out front. Noise from the traffic was buffered by the shrubs covering the front porch. Very small town area, so if you need to go to a larger Dept store or grocery takes a little bit of a trip, but not too far. Nice quaint Coffee shop and Restaurant close by. “Sadly, this property didn't live up to how it was presented online. When we got there, we were surprised to find that the property wasn't a house but rather a converted former college faculty housing unit (this is problematic because we travel with our dogs). The housing unit sits on the former Sue Bennett College campus and some of the buildings are vacant and run down. This made us very uncomfortable and we were concerned about our safety and that of our vehicle overnight. The rooms looked as……

“Walkable to downtown”

“The place does not exist. Could not find it. Called the host. Host had phone on not accepting calls. I was in the area for my mom's funeral. Had to scramble to find another place to stay. ”

“This location is exactly as described in the listing. What the listing might not say is how quiet the space is! We were down to move mom into a senior living center and wanted a space that was peaceful after long days of driving and unpacking. Larry's location was just that. The apartment is nextdoor to another apartment, but we never heard a peep! We will definitely stay again when we come down to visit mom or on our way to WNC. ”
