「Great little hotel in the lovely village of Melrose. The food at the restaurant/pub was excellent and there was a cozy fire buring away. I booked a single accomodation and the room was on the smaller size but perfect for my needs.」

「This is the second time I have stayed at the County and will use it again on future trips. Simple setup, codes to main door and bedroom. The room was clean and comfy, well stocked with teas and coffees and overall perfect for my needs.」

「Had an excellent night's sleep here before the Jedburgh Ultra. The bedding was high-thread Egyptian cotton and felt very smooth and cool and luxurious. The mattress was super-comfy too. The owners Amanda and Rob were really welcoming when I arrived. It was just a few minutes walk from the bus stop. There were codes for the front door, porch door and rooms, so it felt secure. An early start for me, so I didn't have time for breakfast, but looked like lots of good options available for that too....

「This hotel accepted our booking via Hotels.com and it was still confirmed and prepaid up until arriving at the hotel. We were visiting from Australia and visiting relatives in Hawick, we rented a car in Edinburgh and drove there. We arrived early afternoon and found a handwritten note on the front door requesting guests to call a mobile phone on arrival. Whilst in the car park an employee arrived and said that he had no knowledge of our booking, I showed him my confirmation and he blamed...

「A pleasant stay on the way home from a work trip. Clean and large room, comfy bed, a good shower and tasty breakfast.」

「Our team had a very enjoyable stay whilst working nearby. The host was a fountain of knowledge who could not have done more for us. One of the party was injured and our host went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with the additions from the local bakery and butcher, as well as home made jams and marmalade. Thanks again from all at SWS 」
