Value for money for room/service, not near center
Overall, the room is warm and comfortable although it is relatively small, sufficient for move of one person. The bathroom is large and warm. One drawback is the location is not near to Durham town Center (35 -40 minutes walking distance) and go some slopes before reach the hotel.

False advertising, does not serve meals. Staff were very unfriendly and kept the music blaring until after midnight. We were very glad to leave.

Every thing was OK except our room was directly above the pub on the first floor where all evening you could hear the thud thud thud of the music from down below, till around 11:15pm each evening.

This property was amazing, the staff were so lovely. The room was clean and very spacious with a nice comfortable bed clean sheets and a tv. There was tea and coffee in the room also. Amazing stay, will definitely be coming again! M.

Really enjoyed our stay
Really enjoyed our stay. Easy check in and very accommodating. Staff very friendly and always willing to help. Within walking distance to Durham. Pub atmosphere very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again.

The room was very pleasant as were the staff. The only issue was the music in the bar below is on until 11.30pm, which would be a problem if you needed an early night.

Avoid at all costs!
Book 2 nights in a superior room!! So bad we had to abandon and book elsewhere. The music from the bar was SO LOUD and didn't cease until 25 past midnight. Then the goodbyes and tidying up noise began for another 30 minutes. Didn't sleep a wink! Nobody available the following morning to discuss and no answer to calls or emails. Broken glass in car park, broken windows and the beer garden was 2 dirty broken and rotten wooden bench tables. DO Not Book to stay here!!!

I’m not sure what this was like as I didn’t stay. When I arrived the pub was busy and being a woman on my own I felt intimidated to go in. When I asked if I could have my money back I didn’t hear anything back so I assume I will not see that again.

Bedroom was very nice, smaller than expected but clean with everything we needed. Bathroom was lovely. Shame that they don’t make food there anymore, like advertised online.
