Ureta Hotel was about a 30 minute walk away from the main square in Cusco and we felt very safe walking it each evening! The owners were so friendly- we don't speak Spanish well and they don't speak English well so Google Translate worked great for us! We had tours leaving early in the morning so we only had 1 breakfast there but there was so much delicious food that they kept coming out with! On the days we left early they had a to-go bag packed with cookies, crackers, fruit and water to bring with us on our tour which was really nice. The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is because the room my husband and I stayed in had a very strong musty odour smell coming from it and the stand up shower door didn't seal properly leaving water on the floor after showering. My parents stayed in a different room on the same floor as us and didn't have those issues so maybe we were in a room that was less updated. Overall I would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to others!

This hotel and its staff go above and beyond for their guest! I loved my stay here thanks to Victor Ureta, his family, and his staff. Ureta hotel was the perfect hotel for our week in Cusco. It was a nice walk to the city center and out of the way of all the business of the nightlife. Ubers were cheap and super easy to get from this location. The room was clean and comfortable. However, the best part of staying at Ureta Hotel was the staff. They were so friendly, kind, and caring. If you weren’t able to make it to breakfast, they made you a to-go bag for your day! We were excited to return to the hotel every night because it felt like coming home to family.
