「Ignore the negative reviews the hotel was excellent. We arrived to find ample parking and the positioning of the hotel was perfect with a walkway right into the harbour area. The hotel looks like it has had a fairly recent upgrade and was in good condition. We had a nice room with a king size bed and view over the harbour area. Plus the room had a minibar and tea and coffee facilities. Had dinner in the Jetty restaurant the first night which was good washed down by a nice Sicilian Pinot Grigio....

「The lift was often not working, didn’t bother us too much except when we had to carry our luggage down 2 flights of stairs. The indoor pool was on the chilly side, but everything else was lovely. 」

「Beautiful, elegant hotel with lovely public rooms, ie bar, restaurant. My room had a great sea view. The wall paper was a little dated, but nothing to worry about. When I ran a bath the water was brown - I guess because of either old pipes or recycled rainwater? But it would have been good to have a note explaining it in the bathroom, so I felt reassured to take my bath (I didn't!). Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful on the whole. The views, the walks and the convenient sporting equipment...

「I enjoyed my brief stay at St Mellion’s. The staff were welcoming and the hotel was clean and tastefully decorated for the festive period. The bed was huge and the bathroom had plenty of towels and handwash/shower gel etc. Although there weren’t many gluten free options on the restaurant menu, the staff were helpful and made me a GF steak and chips which was perfectly cooked. The cooked breakfast was all GF and a very generous portion. I would definitely stay again. 」

「Room was clean and bed comfy. Room was facing the main road, but you couldn't hear the traffic. Only problem was very creaky floorboards and not enough hot water to run a bath. Also would of been nice to have just a residents only bit of bar. The steam bar was always busy and tables full 」
