「Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. Two days prior to arrival, I was sent an email form w/ one of the questions asking when we'd be arriving. I selected the noon-2pm...

「I thought it was on a beach, but its across the street from a beach. I found out the locals dont really go into that beach. Also its close to the airport which waa nice but its far from everything. Its definitely a place to spend 1 or 2 nights just for the aesthetics. It rained the first night so the view was superb. Even at day break and dusk the view is amazing. There is no tv so we had to find other things to pass the time. 」

「I wish I'd had more than one night to relax at this little gem of a hotel on a little gem of an island nation. The hotel arranged a taxi from DOM airport, and I was welcomed warmly and thoughtfully upon arrival. My particular needs were met with great care. 「It was a very serene lodge. We only got to stay one night but the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We slept with the screened windows open and could hear the rain all night. It was such a good night’s sleep. The hosts were wonderful and we had a Continental Breakfast of fruit, avocado and toast and an excellent chicken and rice dinner with avocado and vegetables. I would like to return for a week or more.」

「1. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere - no entertainment in or nearby - everyone sleeps early here, including the owners 2. He took time to make sure I was comfortable, and kindly shared his knowledge of the plants in his garden with me Fridge, hot shower, comfy bed, nearby shops, atm, restaurants Some mozzies but there are nets so I slept great I went to Batibou beach nearby, about a 1hr walk, or 10 min drive. 「Amazing coastal town and only a short drive from the major destinations in the Northern part of the island. Christine is a kind and attentive host that was very flexible and accommodating with check in times. Lee’s restaurant and bar, Love @ First Bite is incredible and he is a great guy.
