The Space:
Brynderwyn Hill is located in a farming locality of Claremont, 13km west of Timaru. Nearby Caroline Bay Association, Coffee Culture Timaru, and Centennial Park are just a few of the attractions in the area. You can even catch a glimpse of Timaru Blue Penguins, which can often be seen off Caroline Bay and Patiti Point.
Enjoy stunning sunrises and sweeping views of the Southern Alps from an expansive flat lawn surrounded by gum and oak trees. The cozy accommodation of 139-square-feet comes with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for your use. It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water by using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and the gardens, except for the land host's private residence and garage.

Brynderwyn Hill sits in the farming locality of Claremont, about an hour's drive from Ashburton, Canterbury Region. Where you can explore cafes, restaurants, and other attractions.
The quiet rural roads around our property are very popular with cyclists, and we could supply bikes if guests required them. There is a great summer swimming river 10 minutes' drive away.

- Coffee Culture Timaru cafe is located in the heart of the city.
- Geraldine is a small town 30 minutes away from fantastic cafes, restaurants, shops, and woodland hikes.

- Te Ana Maori Rock Art Centre offers personalised, authentic Maori cultural experiences based on our ancestors' rock art sites.
- Centennial Park in Timaru is a bird lovers' paradise, ideal for bushwalking, mountain biking, and fun playgrounds for kids.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 2.5 hrs drive to Twizel
- 1.5 hrs drive to Tekapo
- 2.5 hrs drive from Dunedin
- 2 hrs drive from Christchurch
- 4 hrs drive from Queenstown
By public transport: Timaru Airport has direct flights from Wellington. Timaru is serviced by an intercity bus network, although there is no local public transportation outside of the city limits. We recommend that guests travel by private vehicle (or van hire).
Other Things to Note:
- Mobile reception is good for all local networks
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Feeding of our cow is available under the host's supervision
- Keep a safe distance from pets and farm animals as they are easily agitated
- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more (or for bookings of 5 nights or more), an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
