While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. 「For the price I paid I wasn't expecting the world, but I've stayed in similar hotels for lower prices and generally had much better experiences. The room was very dusty and stuffy even with the fan on & window open, and the surroundings noisy due to the location of the room with various deliveries early in the morning. 「The swan was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The building, rooms, and location were beautiful, well taken care of, and thoughtfully curated. 「What a gem of a place.. great location, great communication, clean comfortable rooms and a brilliant breakfast. We would definitely return and maybe spend longer as it is perfectly situated for exploring the area. We were here for the Goodwood Members Meeting and it was only about 30 minutes drive. 「Lovely pub in a beautiful location. Dog friendly..did not know I had to mention that at time of booking but did not prove to be a problem. Amazing food with friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.」

「Very comfortable stay. Food was great a d especially the breakfast. Only one concern to note. There are 2 rooms that adjoin the main stairs, and both get all the noise from downstairs through the evening and specially later on as voice's get louder after a few bevvies have been consumed. Even after last orders people go to the lounge and continue with even louder voices. And tbis room is directly below one of these rooms. 「It took ages to check despite the bar being open. My nice but quite small but the general housekeeping could be improved. The basin in the tiny bathroom offered little or no hot water and the shower head was only adequate. The menu choice was disappointing but the food was nice. The Breakfast basket was poor. My overall opinion of the Crown was that it was expensive for what you got. It's not a place that I would return to. 」
