The check in process was super easy and the staff was friendly. The hotel had a clean lobby and had plenty of amenities like a stop for drinks and snacks and a decent workout facility. On entering the room it was very nice and the bed was comfortable, however once settled I noticed that the air conditioner would make a sound like a car with bad breaks squeaking when the AC would power down. It only lasted a few seconds but repeated every 15-20 minutes. I asked management to send maintenance to the room to check on it and they never did. The bathroom was dated and a lot of the fixtures were covered in rust, and also the bathtub faucet would drip constantly causing me to shut the bathroom door so I wouldn't hear the constant sound of water running.

The breakfast was crap. Waffle mix was not fluffy it tasted more like cardboard than anything else - no sugarfree syrup was offered, and no peanut butter packets (as normally found at other locations); I had to ask for whole wheat bread to be refilled every day (was there for 5 days); no fresh fruit at all, only generic fruit cups in mini fridge; They did have a yogurt machine to pump out "fresh yogurt" but again, with no fresh fruit to add to it, kinda defeats the purpose; the sausage patties had hard chunks in them & links tasted like rubber - definitely low quality, never any bacon or Canadian bacon or ham always just the 2 options rotated; Had to request half & half to be refilled each day - Breakfast staff was more concerned with talking to housekeeping instead of the bar. Check-In was seamless with the front desk manager (WONDERFUL LADY!) & the lady she was training, but I never saw either of them again during my 5 days there - only a man with a military type haircut, who my only true interaction with him was the day I checked out, and as I was unloading the luggage cart he was trying to take it from me (and I had to let him know I was still using it, I would return it to the front when done) and he acted like I shouldn't still need it (?) Thought it was weird that he was so protective over the luggage cart that he would leave the front desk to hawk me using it. Housekeeping was AMAZING! Washer/Dryer is on 3rd floor - both need updating - $2.75 =wash $2=dry.

The room was spotless and comfortable. I enjoyed the hospitality of the front desk attendant,she gave me information about the best time to attend the hotel without the crowd of holiday travelers. I was especially satisfied with the breakfast as it was hot, delicious and had many choices.

Our stay wasn't too bad. Rooms could have been cleaner but they were suitable for us just sleeping there. I will say I was not impressed with staff upon checking out. I had to check out a day early due to travel weather issues. Handed in my keys before 9:30am on the day before our scheduled check out date and receptionist at the desk took the keys and told me I was all set. Later in the day I notice I didn't receive a check out confirmation receipt like I normally would. So I call and ask to have one sent to me and am told I'm not scheduled to check out until the next day to which I reply yes I know but I checked out this morning. I was told I couldn't get my receipt because I booked through a 3rd party. (Never had that issue before since using Expedia) I contact Expedia they're great about it and try to help me but the hotel refused to send one because they thought I was looking for a refund for the one night (which I was not, just wanted my receipt for my stay). Fast forward to the day of my scheduled check out and I'm getting text message and an email asking me to update my check out time. So I call the hotel again and explain what happened to which I am told "we checked you out this morning". And they still have yet to send me my invoice/receipt for my stay. I think the staff was rude and honestly wouldn't stay again just for that reason alone. All that annoyance over just wanting my check out invoice. That would have taken two seconds.

They told us the painting would be over the day before we arrived. Not true. Painted all 3 days we were there. The smell caused me some issues. The late night early morning screaming from a child was ridiculous. The place itself was nice. Just misled a little on the renovations going on.
