“My husband and I took a quick trip to mammoth cave and the location of this property could not be beat. We were a short drive to the cave and lots of hiking! The lodging met our needs, as it was just the two of us so we didn’t need much space. We arrived late at night though and it took a few minutes to locate the property because it is hidden behind another home, difficult to see from the street and our GPS repeatedly had us drive right past. We would definitely stay here again!”

“This house is beautiful, meticulously maintained and would be absolutely ideal for a wedding party. My family loved it, even though we only stayed overnight. “The house and accommodations are wonderful! I’m sure when there aren’t floods and high waters, the lake is beautiful too. My daughter loved the loft room that is spacious and great for a pre-teen! We had a couple of beautiful days to enjoy some cave tours and hiking at Mammoth Cave. The unfortunate flooding caused closures in the parks our last day. . We would definitely return!!”

“We stayed at the cabin over spring break in March 2025. We enjoyed the cabin's location (riding the ferry to and from Mammoth Caves was a highlight for our kids, age 11 and 8). The cabin's host Frank and dog Cody welcomed us to the property and provided us discs to practice disc golf during our stay. The kids loved practicing near the cabin and playing in the cabin loft. During our trip, we enjoyed cave tours at Mammoth, ziplining and horseback riding at Adventures of Mammoth Cave, lunch at 5……

“The pictures do not do this place enough justice! It's absolutely gorgeous! They have it stocked with everything that you would need other than your groceries! Its so peaceful. Just a short walk to the lake! Or short drive to many other things to do. You can grill out or have a campfire and everything is already there for you! Or if your like us and just need a relaxing weekend or week this is definitely your place! I will definitely be coming back! Also they stayed in contact and let us know……

“What a great little place to stay! Always stay in Cave City as I drive down to Mardi Gras every year from Ontario. I love that area just off the highway where the T-Rex statue stands by the southbound I-65 exit 53 ramp. The area is VERY well lit. There are gas stations and, even though I rarely eat fast food, there are a ton of options around there. I've stayed at different locations around that area and only one was not good. I'm reviewing this as it is. I don't review hotels with lesser stars……
