Family break

The house was perfect for our family of 7, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All rooms were a good size with a large kitchen dinner. The bonus for us with two teenage grandchildren was the pool table and table tennis. Would go back anytime.

Lovely Stay

This is a fantastic property. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Although close to the main road (and easy access to local amenities, walks and beautiful beaches), it is quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is very well stocked and we enjoyed having the pool/ping pong table in the lounge. Would love to return for another stay.

Fantastic escape in the borders

We stayed at the house over new year as we attended a wedding nearby. There was a group of 8 adults. Everything about this rental experience was excellent. The host reached out well ahead of our stay to see if we had any questions and to offer some local advice. The check in and out process was very simple and clear, and the host allowed us a late check out too. The property is wonderful - the photos don’t really do it full credit. It is recently renovated and all the rooms and facilities are excellent quality and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped to cook even adventurous meals. There are also laundry facilities. The beds were very comfortable and little touches like local shampoos in the bathrooms were appreciated. There were also some essentials in the kitchen for us - tea, coffee and dishwasher tablets for instance. The pool table and fire in the lounge make for a cosy evening in. The location is great for exploring the local area and the host has a guide of their local favourites you can use. It’s close to the A75 but not so close you can hear traffic, and a short drive from Castle Douglas and many nice walks and beaches. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back!

Beautiful, spacious, well appointed and well equipped house with large garden and decking, let down by the sheer quantity of irritating minor repairs that need doing and very loud traffic noise Good safe garden for dogs. Surrounding areas and beaches nearby all lovely. We had a lovely time
