The property is quirky more than it is European. The sheets are softer than almost anything I've ever laid on, wow! The towels are fluffy and thirsty too. They put the little things in the room, fridge, microwave, WATER, knife, corkscrew, coffee maker, coffee and tea, cups, plates, knives, spoons and forks. Our hostess was kind and not terribly intrusive, just everywhere all the time minding the property as you'd expect.
A short walk or drive to lots of wineries and places to eat.
But this is Northern California, so there's no "budget" option, however, you eat so well, you don't really mind. Prices are high, but quality is too!
Overall three stars (mnore like 3.75, if I could give it) because it is more like a roadside motel than a "European Lodge" but that's okay once you get past the name. Enjoy this little space for a long weekend or just pass through.
