「We spent 8 lovely nights in Barry's Guest House on an extended vacation. He was SUCH a wonderful host! Proactive in sharing information and very responsive when we had any questions. We had been to Las Vegas and Disneyland prior to arrival in Carmel. What a pleasant change! The cottage had everything we could possibly need. From the beyond comfortable bedding to the luxurious shower, everything was awesome. Several times later in the trip, we lamented how much we missed the always ready...

「It’s on side of mountain so expect a curvy ride up. This road is explained on the notes. Beautiful place to stay and awesome views. Carmel/Monterrey area is awesome! Lots to see and do.」

「I had a great experience at Driftwood last week. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, and it's a five minute walk to the beach. Driftwood is bright and sunny. I loved the outdoor spaces - both the front yard with the fire pit and backyard hot tub. I cooked every night in the lovely, well-equipped kitchen. It was a perfect stay and I look forward to returning soon!」

「Heaven on earth! Looking out I loved seeing the ocean to the left while my husband enjoyed the mountains to the right. We were so comfortable and the views so special that we were never in a hurry to leave. The pots of plants inside and out added an extra touch. 」

「Wonderful warm, inviting home, every detail welcomes you to relax and take a deep breath of energizing ocean air !」

「Clean spacious home. The three bedrooms are not near one another. My wife and I could use our space without issue. The yard is great for your furry family member. The home is within walking distance to the Carmel Mission and the Mission trail system. Awesome for our daily walks with our puppy. The only issue is the tv required a streaming service and we could not watch the World Series. We ended up driving a short distance to town to watch.」

「We were impressed with the coziness, relaxing atmosphere forever views of the ocean and Monastery Beach and all the amenities that you will need in a small place. Very comfortable, quiet and secure. Close to hiking trails, commercial malls like the Barnyard, gas stations and a short drive to Carmel Point, Scenic Drive, Carmel Beach and Ocean Ave shopping and fabulous restaurants. We will comeback, planning our next stay! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage!」

「酒店位置很好，十分靠近海滩，离中心区也十分近，都是在步行距离之内。停车方便，服务周到。花园美丽。虽然作为旅者，更希望多花机会在外面，但我竟然一整个下午都泡在了酒店里，因为风景和环境都太好了。这里的早餐很丰盛，服务人员特别热清。是个我会再来的好地方。」

Not much services given the price paid

"For the price per night paid here there is not much services. We asked for housekeeping to come clean our lodge twice in the morning and the room was still not cleaned till 4:30 in the afternoon, so we gave up. Calling front desk was always busy, so the easiest way is to text message them and wait for response. The next day we specifically requested housekeeping clean our room and put away the sofa bed, came back to the room and the sofa bed was still there. Room is nice though, it is well kept and quite new in comparison to many resorts nearby. The lodge is a good size if traveling with kids, with a separate living room bedroom. We find spider webs at corners, but I guess it’s good enough given the limited services here. "
