Quiet and relaxing stay!

The tiny cabin had everything we needed for a short 2 night stay in the Lake of Egypt area. Not far from the property is the Cross Eyed Bear for good food and drinks, but with a great kitchen set up with a grill, you might not need to or want to go out to eat. Beautiful hiking is about a 15 min drive away, and you’re also about 20-30 minutes from picturesque wineries. Loved our stay, and we will have to be back!

Wanted a quick trip, between trips to South Dakota, to see the fall beauty of the Garden of the Gods and other scenic locations in Shawnee National Forest.
