Excellent stay at Na Balam! Everyone was so helpful and the beach club it was affiliated with went above and beyond making every day feel special. I travel by myself and felt safe and cared for 100% of the time. Right across the road from the most spectacular beach and a five minute walk to the town center. I can’t wait to go back!

I am very afraid of any insect and they crawl the bed at midnight, they don’t bite but they are there , i didn’t take a pic bit is not a croach , more like little beetles rice grain size , I was expecting some bugs because the ceiling is palm leaves you get to enjoy the most spectacular and beautiful beach , the sister hotel is across the street and is were the food is served , you’ll have sun beds and umbrellas included , playa norte

Na Balam is a lush oasis in the heat of the day. We stayed three nights in a ground level room with two double beds and a twin sized couch. There was also a couch on the porch which was an excellent reading nook/porch hangout. The service was great—adored the hotel staff. Na Balam isn’t beach front. The sister property across the street is and you go through it to get to the beach. It’s about a 90 second walk. The breakfast is pretty good. They give you coffee, half of a homemade English muffin (excellent), avocado (winning), eggs (meh), yogurt and homemade granola (excellent), and toast (dried out), fruit, and juice (cantaloupe juice was great, orange was watery but good). The breakfast service is very slow, so plan for that. You have a view of gorgeous beach calling to you from the dining room. We had aguachile and some of the best to the restaurant for aguachile and drinks later in the afternoon and

Hotel is a bit old. Needs a bit renovating. Cleaning staff was exceptional and cleaned the rooms promptly. Was kinda loud at night due to mia reef hotel next door having blasting music. Do not recommend if you wish to sleep throughout the night.

The staff was friendly and the property was as it looked in the pictures. The ac worked very well but there were issues. The room smelled very strong of urine in the center of the downstairs area. There was a musty mold smell or urine or a combination of both in the middle of the downstairs area and a strong mold smell upstairs. We did not use the upstairs bed at all due to it. The roof was leaking and there were droplets on the floor upstairs. We were gone most of the daytime but in the evening after returning to the room within 2 hours my sinuses were all blocked and my eyes burning. The beds were outdated and very uncomfortable and so were the pillows. It was sold out and there were no refunds. We only stayed for two nights so we tried to make the best of it. I did let the front reception know about this upon checking out. A verbal apology was all that was given by staff. I am now going home sick with burning eyes, migraine, blocked sinuses and very sick. Hotel was sold out. I would not stay here again or reccomend.

Jhoana (front desk manager) was amazing!! She made sure our stay was perfect!! She is so sweet and welcoming!!! The beach beds and the breakfast that is included made our trip a A+++++!!!!
