Had a great stay at this all inclusive adults only resort. Staff were great. Food was excellent. Place was clean!!!! We would go again!!! We booked through a third party but if you book directly through the girl they offer complimentary shuttle service.

This was really a nice property, but there were just a few things that are keeping it from being excellent. It’s starting to get a little rundown and as you can see from my photos the rooms had some maintenance and sloppy repair issues. The service at the restaurants and bars was excellent. The people were friendly and the food was very good. The pools were very cold and even the heated one could’ve been a little bit warmer. The hot tubs were warm tubs. They weren’t very hot. The resort was extremely clean so no issues there. It is just starting to show its age ( no usb ports in rooms for example). If you want great service, stay here. If you want a more modern experience, I’d suggest you stay elsewhere.

Food and variety was excellent, better than most other similar resorts I’ve experienced, and definitely the highlight of the trip for me. We particularly liked the seafood, Indian, and French. The room was larger than expected and we enjoyed the tub and large shower. The pool was quite cold this time of year, and though one area was heated, it did not ever seem to reach a comfortable temperature, so we did not spend much time in the water unfortunately. We sought out the hot tub areas but those were not too much warmer. The drinks by the pool were quite watered down which got old by the second day. Otherwise the drinks at other locations were much better so we usually sought these out in the afternoons and evenings, particularly the martini bar before dinner. I appreciated the custom drink menu at each bar, and enjoyed trying out different drinks at each. We were quite disappointed with the quality of the drinks at the coffee shop in particular, as we are big coffee drinkers, though we did still keep going back and trying new options each day and appreciated the coffee shop staff. The resort staff were a pleasure universally and I thought they struck a good balance between professional and friendly—they seemed well engaged and attentive to guest needs but I didn’t experience any forced / inauthentic social exchanges that are sometimes the norm at other resorts.

I don’t usually stay at resorts when I travel, but we decided to do a low-key week and we had an amazing time at excellence Riviera Cancun. Everybody that worked there was really nice to us. The food was amazing, the facilities and the grounds were clean and beautiful! I just I only have good things to say about this place. If you want a nice trip you want to relax and have a great time this is you place! As an added bonus, it’s child free which means no kids running around quiet nice grounds. It’s just a perfect holiday experience.

We had several issues in the room but we’re handled very promptly. The only disappointing fact was we were in a terrace suite with a beautiful small rooftop pool . A very nice sweet very spacious but we were woken up at 6:30 every day (7 day stay) in the morning with tractors cleaning the beach from the seaweed. Paying top dollars to be woken up at 6:30am is a little rough to accept. Especially if you’re on vacation. Unfortunately,there was nothing the Hotel could do for us. Avoid building 9 , it’s located right next to a road between two properties. Not exactly how you expected to spend your vacation. I still hear the beeping sound. Housekeeping was amazing.👍

Everything was great!! Pools and beaches were clean. Staff was amazing. No complaints. They were timely and organized. Paid great attention to detail. Great food!! However, I do think they could sanitize the rooms a little better. The phone had a weird smell, hot tub in the room seemed like it needed a better cleaning and the mattress had stains under the sheets.

The Excellence Riviera Cancun truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and first-class, including the excellent transportation to and from the airport. The resort itself is stunning—immaculate grounds, a beautiful expansive beach, and pools that are both lively and relaxing depending on what you’re in the mood for. The variety and quality of the restaurants are outstanding; every meal felt like a special experience, with incredible food, atmosphere, and service across the board. What truly sets this resort apart, though, is the staff. Every single person we encountered was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed, remembered, and taken care of, and it makes a huge difference. The service was superb overall. The rooms were nice and clean though there is limited drawer space so you have to live out of a suitcase. We chose to have our room cleaned every other day though the minibar was restocked each day. The facilities are fantastic. The dinner restaurants are magnificent. Be prepared to wait for 30 or 35 minutes as being sested is on a first come, first serve basis.

All of the above. Perhaps laundry service should be included instead of an add-on. Also, the app was not user friendly given wifi access/connectivity issues. Perhaps both options could be available to guests

This is not the place for quiet relaxation. The outdoor Bose speakers start bumping music pretty early and you can hear it everywhere you go. On the beach, the lazy river, from the rooftop terrace of your room--good luck finding peace and quiet. Hope you like staying up late because even the "silent" disco party comes with people screaming their heads off. Drunks returning to their rooms late and screaming. This is adults only and that's how you behave? The staff were nice but I didn't get any of the requests I asked for. They said they'd send someone with Kleenex, to stock the mini bar, etc. They never came. Oh and the food is absolutely terrible.
