“We wanted somewhere quiet, secluded and far away from reality, this hit the spot perfectly! We weren't far from Llanberis where we had some great food and went on a beautiful walk to the castle. The cottage was well equipped and gave us the chance to feel properly nestled in the mountain. We used our time their to celebrate my partners birthday, and begin art projects we've been preparing for. We met a couple of others in Fachwen and they were so lovely and helpful! Make sure you take your pound……

“Very large property which used to be a hotel, which suited our group. Good communication before hand. Some of the doors very stiff. But overall good experience”

“Mr Edwards was there to welcome us when we arrived. House is clean and met all our expectations. We had a wonderful time exploring the local Caernarfon area, Snowdon Rail journey and even Halen Mon at Anglesey.”

“This was a cute property and had everything you needed. The location was amazing, you could not be closer to climb Snowdon. My only problem was the ceiling heights upstairs, my daughter is really tall so was downstairs and I had to take the room in the eaves.. I did bump my head a few times in the night. I Would recommend it. ”

“Where to start. The only positive comment is that the holiday park that the property is situated is lovely, with good facilities. If I was the owner of the park, I wouldn't allow this cottage to be associated with it. Now for the negatives. 1. Firstly the picture shown on the website is nothing like the property looks like and should be removed. Its an old terraced cottage. That needs a lot of TLC to the front and rear of the property. 2. The description of the property also does not tell……

“My friends and I spent the weekend at this property as a celebration for our 25th Birthdays. From the get go the whole process was faultless and even though there were 8 of us we still found the house to be spacious and was spotless for our arrival. We can't wait to book for next year!”

“Een mooie cottage op een prachtige locatie! Dichtbij het dorp Beddgelert met een kleine levensmiddelen winkel een aantal gelegenheden voor eten & drinken en een lekkere ijswinkel ;-). Vanuit de cottage verschillende activiteiten mogelijk (wandelen, MTB-en, verschillende bezienswaardigheden). en de communicatie met de eigenaar verliep erg prettig.”

“This cottage is amazing. Set on the banks of the river in the beautiful village of Beddgelert, this is a great place to stay for an adventure in the Snowdonia National Park. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The living room is relaxing and the kitchen has everything you need. You’re walking distance to pubs, restaurants and coffee shops as well as several hiking trails. When it’s time to rest you can sit in the garden next to the river and listen to the water and nature. Highly recommend……

“Overall we had a really positive experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the town centre and supermarkets.The area is generally quiet, aside from traffic noise during the morning commute, but this was only an issue in the front bedrooms. Check-in was smooth, there was good communication with the host beforehand and thoughtful touches like a welcome gift plus milk and biscuits were much appreciated.The property was clean, there was a good supply of towels and basic toiletries……

“Kim is a lovely lady. Kim's Retreat is excellent. We had a short visit and would have loved to stay longer. We will definitely be back. Kim's Retreat comes highly recommended. Morgan loved the treats and said he wants to go again. P.S. The views are lovely”

“They also own a building around the corner... thats where we lodged. Had to walk a couple blocks for breakfast. Quiet , convenient, and clean. Parking is orivided by the Pub but it's a 5 min walk uphill to the lidgings. ”
