Have a blissful lakeside stay on the shores of beautiful Butternut Lake in southern Ashland County. Our 2 bedroom, 1 ½ bath cabin is ready for you to create memories! The cabin includes a complete kitchen, dining room, laundry room and large living room complete with wood burning fireplace!

Butternut lake is a 983-acre, Class A muskie lake. The cabin is conveniently located near the public boat landing and has trailer parking available.

You will find the interior of the cabin is clean, comfortable and a great place to relax! The master bedroom and guest bedroom both have a queen size bed, dresser and closet. Bed linens are furnished for you. All rooms are decorated with the perfect modern yet rustic theme. There is the convenience of 1 full bath with tub and shower and a ½ bath. Ceiling fans are installed in the dining room, living room and both bedrooms. Additional floor fans stored in closets. A limited number of indoor towels are provided; please bring your own towels to use on the lake.

Outdoors there is a patio, fire pit, dock and swing. We offer a pontoon rental at an additional cost. Bring your canoe, kayak, or paddleboard to complete your stay on the lake! Firewood is on site for your use to enjoy in the fire pit or living room fireplace, no extra charge! The fire pit also includes a cooking grate for your grilling desires!

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to fix a good, home cooked meal. Just bring your food, spices, cooking spray, aluminum foil, plastic wrap etc. State law does prohibit us from keeping any open food on site. If you happen to forget anything, Park Falls is roughly 6 miles south of the cabin and does include a full grocery store.

Interested in local food while on your stay? There is a popular bar/eatery, Bobbers, within walking distance of the cabin. The food is terrific, friendly staff and the décor includes a fishing themed atmosphere!

The fishing was terrible. I’ve heard a lot of hype about the walleyes being abundant and same with the Musky. Well they all must of been on vacation them selves and not biting. But the sunrises and fall colors were amazing.

Der Aufenthalt war gut. Der Besitzer war stets bemüht. Allerdings hatten wir uns für die Unterkunft entschieden, da wir davon ausgegangen sind, dass zu der Unterkunft ein Boot gehört. Leider war dem nicht so. Die Bilder im Inserat sind daher irreführend. Das Boot kostet 175,00$ am Tag. Dies ist schon ein stolzer Preis. Die Vermieter haben auf die Thematik reagiert und uns ein Spezialpreis gemacht, dieser war leider auch noch sehr hoch. Die Terrasse hätte etwas gepflegter sein können. Als Tipp für zukünftige Mieter: bewaffnet euch mit Moskitospray. :)

Wonderful Northwoods getaway
The cabins Northwoods decor is perfect! Comfortable chairs, sofa and beds. Nice kitchen and dining room. Was very peaceful and quite, even caught fish off the dock. The resident chipmunk kept the dogs entertained too!

Very nice, cute, accurately described lodging. For 2 of us and a dog we found it to be a very quaint, very cute, place to stay. Snowmobiling right out the door, great little bar with good food a few blocks away. What more could you ask for. It looks like it would really shine in the summer if you fish. Heck you could fish from the patio!!!! Book this place, you won’t regret it.

Lovely spot for a weekend of board games
We visited with the intent to kick back, play some board games, watch a movie, and go for a cold dip in the lake - ended up doing all of this, cooking, and enjoying a night of watching shooting stars as well since the sky is clear enough to see the Milky Way with the naked eye. Great time overall.

We mainly were outside on this hunting trip. The cabin was very comfortable with the of the bed. The kitchen was well stocked and the bored from the living room were great. The furnace worked without a problem. The tv was good especially since we could catch up on a couple “Longmires” on Netflix
