This is the type of place that looks OK from the outside and even the interior has some rough spots, but the staff is amazingly friendly, the rooms have all been renovated and updated, and the 24/7 coffee and snacks, pool, and workout amenities are all great. Near a few good restaurants and a grocery store. It’s safe, quiet, and a reasonable price for Montana (hotel prices in MT in the summer can be ridiculous). So, overall, a good choice and I will definitely stay again when traveling. Thanks

I can't remember ever staying in a hotel that did not have coffee in the room. Still, I was willing to walk the very long hallway to the breakfast area. Unfortunately, the tiny breakfast nook could not accommodate the large crowd, and the line overflowed out into the lobby. When I got to the coffee machine, it was empty, and I had to go to the front desk, since no staff were monitoring the breakfast area. The other issue was the flimsy metal covers at the base of the bed. Every time we got near the bed and our feet made contact, it was like someone hitting a gong in the middle of the night.

I recently stayed at the Wyndham Wingate in Butte for two nights, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon entering our room, we were immediately struck by the filthy condition of the AC unit, which was dirty from top to bottom. The overall cleanliness left much to be desired, particularly with the disgusting state of the fences. We had to call the front desk to address these issues, and it took over 30 minutes for someone to clean the unit in front of us on their hands and knees, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, we encountered problems with the TV remote; we went through two remotes before discovering that the issue was simply dead batteries. To make matters worse, the USB ports in the room were broken and did not work at all. The most aggravating part of our stay occurred on the day of checkout when our room keys voided two hours early. As a handicapped individual, I had to maneuver from my room down the elevator and to the front desk to get a new key. When I approached the front desk for assistance, I was informed that it was a known issue with their system. Instead of offering a proper solution, they simply provided us with a new key. If they were aware of this ongoing problem, it should have been addressed beforehand to prevent such inconvenience. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my stay at The Wingate.

Won’t stay here again. First room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Second room was better, but not great. The rooms have been updated, but the bathroom was terrible. Old tub with mold and peeling paint. Basically, they put lipstick on a pig. The hallway carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a decade. The grounds around the hotel were terrible too. No grass and dead bushes/trees. Wasn’t looking for luxury, but this did not meet my expectations at all.

The property overall felt a bit rundown, and unkept. On our floor, for example, the carpets in the hallways were stained and dirty, with plenty of debris indicating it hadn't been vacuumed in some time. The lobby bathroom had no spare toilet paper, and I had to ask for bathroom issues to be addressed multiple times during our two-night stay.

I would have given 5 stars except the frame under the bed (to keep stuff from going under the bed) is metal and every time I bumped it the sound was jarring! It reverberated like hitting a drum!!
