"Very big room, got dining table, sofa, our biggest room in Japan. But no reception, it’s a self check in. No luggage storage before check in. Close to station which is very nice. Our room got washing machine, and bathroom got air drying system, so clothes will dry quickly."

"One of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in. Spacious, fully furnished with large beds, dining table, sofa, large fridge and cooking facilities. This is a self-check-in hotel so you will have to fill up all the details yourself and use an intercom to talk to a service agent. Very limited parking of only two spaces. Limited shopping and dining options in the very quiet area."

"I would give a 5 stars if the staff could send me the check in instruction on time and before check in time. I had to use Expedia customer service to contact the Hotel staff and get the door code. "

"This property has no staff onsite. So you have no ability to leave luggage before check in or after checkout, so you have to use the lockers at the train station. Email on entry was confusing and required a call. I observed similar struggles with other guests. Checkin is all via keypad. Room was a nice size, had a kitchen, and sitting area (cushions were stained). Location to the train station was nice, but it is not bar any hot springs or other attractions. "

"洗濯機や冷蔵庫、キッチンがあり快適に過ごせました！炊飯器があると嬉しかったです。駐車場まで少し歩きます。道が狭くて、車で近くまで行けないので、荷物を持っての移動が少し大変でした。また、2階の足音が1階に響きやすいです。"

"Close to everything including, food, train station, parking, and onsens. They even provided a mobile pocket WiFi for us to use. Very considerate."

"pros : cheap and clean cons : • this was by far my worst experience in Japan during my one month stay. When I booked (one day before my planned check-in), the manager demanded to know at what time I was planning to check in. I was surprised but happily obliged and gave him/her the precise time (4 pm). The check-in happens in another place (15 min away by foot) which is a guesthouse. I went there by 4 pm and found no one (even though it is mentioned everywhere that check-in time is between 4 pm...

"We had a great time visiting our daughter and Oita. The place was about a 15 minute walk from the train station. It was roomie. Was nice inside as well. We would stay there again in the future."

"The layout of the property is good, with laundry facilities! The down sides are: 1. No usb port; 2. The fire exit light is green and too bright at night that brighten the whole room. 3. The blinds are too light that didn’t block the sunlight. Wake up very early in the morning as the beds all face the windows."

"Stay away from this hotel: no person in the front desk; the heat was not working (-2 Celsius); no one answered the phone for customer service … worst nightmare for my stay in a foreign country that only a few persons speak English. I will try to dispute the charges for my stay. I was disappointed that Expedia didn’t step in to help!! Very frustrating and un-professional "

"Skip the buffet if you’re looking for a continental breakfast option. At ¥3300, it was pricey for a coffee and a few slices of thick cut bacon. Like most of Japan, tourism is not really geared towards westerners- which is fine, just do your research ahead of time and find one of the many off-site options in the area. "

"We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while exploring Beppu and the surrounding areas. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff spoke excellent English which made check in and asking for help easy. The hotel is located right by the train station and there is ample car parking if you are renting a car. We had a very comfortable stay and would stay again. "
